yeah. I made Coq Au Vin when I was thirteen………..or wait, maybe it was cheerios in milk that I was making. My personal chef, aka youngest daughter, cooked up a delectable meal of Coq Au Vin and coconut cream pie. I think I may be the luckiest mom in the world! Note the always eager pups under her feet while she cooks……just in case something slips!

the skies parted….. | asheville portrait photographer

after the deluge we found ourselves in yesterday, it was lovely to see the skies open up and even give us some sun…..Here is just one more from the dry day of the session. I kind of embarrassed myself with a giddy moment when I looked at the lcd on my camera and saw this shot. It was exactly what was in my mind’s eye! I love it when things work out like that

Dusty | asheville dog photographer

My first Weimaraner……I have an obsession with these dogs, and Dusty proved to me that it is a worthy one. He was soooo wonderful, and patient, and handsome. Loved spending time with you Kim and James…and of course, Dusty, too!

the damp weather caught up with us today during this headshot session…..so it is ‘to be continued’ . At least we were able to dash under the overpass for some colorful backdrops and a bit of dry pavement. You were a great sport, D!

No…this post has nothing to do with the movie, but everything to do with the photo sessions below. We shot until the sky was completely dark, getting the chance to do some fun things with lighting. I had a really great time reconnecting with a wonderful friend who I would never have met if it weren’t for my photography. It has been amazing how many new friendships have opened up to me via my involvement in it. From each new person, I learn something unique. In addition to those friends, I had the certainly enviable opportunity to photograph these great kids. Here is just a peek
