now this senior project has wings……literally. Doug decided he wanted to learn to fly, and so, made the pursuit the subject for his senior project. so far, he absolutely loves it. we decided some photos of the endeavor were perfectly fitting. doug kindly asked me if I wanted to join him on his flight, to take some photos while airborne, but, um…….I am kind of a chicken when it comes to tiny aircraft I certainly don’t doubt his skills. he is one of the smartest and most mature kids I know……I am just, well…like I said…a little bit of a chicken.

just a warning to the wary…….a session with me just might include trekking through a field filled with gigantic green grasshoppers, oh, and, in full sun……..miss erika, trekked alongside me without even the slightest complaint, and then, still managed to look THIS gorgeous for all of the rest of the images. sigh…..you were so much fun to work with! here is your sneak peek!

and as a side note…..the image in the alley on the colorful ottoman where she is totally cracking up, might just be a new personal favorite of mine! she just had the greatest attitude and was so patient. hug to you, e!

I finally had to make myself stop editing…….it is impossible for miss kelly to take a bad frame. image after image of her absolutely rocking this session. what fun we had. thank you for driving so far to have me capture this special time in your life for you! i truly feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to spend time with both you and your wonderful mom. speaking of whom…..I can say without a doubt that the image below is my absolute favorite mother daughter image that I have ever had the good fortune to capture. the relationship you two share is so special, that much is very obvious. enjoy your sneak peek!

miss m was pure grace, especially given the heat and humidity we were faced with! we first had to wait out a thirty minute thunderstorm, which left the ground quite wet, and the air purely thick and steamy……the good news was, she eventually got images with both straight AND curly hair! see, humidity CAN be your friend wanted to get you your sneak before you headed off today. I cannot wait for our follow up fall session in the fields!

and we even caught a couple of shots with her sweet little cousins, who just adore her!

three beautiful women. three women so completely connected. one about to leave the nest, and the other not far behind. it was my complete pleasure to capture the emotions between these three. between mother and daughters, sister and sister. thank you for the experience. life. our kids grow up. they stay friends. but getting them in the same place at the same time. it just gets more and more difficult. mom called me so excited about having her two in the same place at the same time…..finally. it has taken us a couple of years of talking about it to finally corral them, but we did. is it just me, or are these two just the best looking kids ever? the son reminds me so much of a young John Travolta. glad the rain finally gave us a short window of opportunity! here is your sneak peek.
