As we prepare to take a few quick images of this lovely artist, and my very dear friend, she gathers up a bunch of crayons and takes a giant sniff of them. Flashing her trademark brilliant white infectious smile she remarks…….”Mmmmm. Don’t you just love the smell of crayons?! That smell just brings back so many of my fondest childhood memories.” It is just that magical sense of wonderment, attention to the tiniest detail, and fascination with the world around her that make Heidi Geagan so incredibly adept at capturing the essence of a person in a painted portrait. And many times, these portraits contain lots more than paint. The aforementioned crayons find their way into these one of a kind creations.
I have been so excited to finally have images to post to accompany this fantastic announcement. Heidi is teaming up with me to offer one of a kind artistic interpretations of images from your photo session! She just completed this incredible mixed media work of my oldest daughter, painted entirely from a photo I took of her last summer.

For the past semester, M has been working on her senior project all about photoshop and the ramifications that the powerful program can have on the developing sense of self amongst teens….well today’s mentoring session, found M being in front of the camera, and then in front of the computer as we tweaked and ‘artified’ the few images we took earlier today. Today’s session found us off the normal path of cloning, liquifying and the other major “fix it” tools we have been discussing, and instead found us experimenting with background, lighting, crops and texture overlays…….she really is this cute naturally!

All orders for prints wishing holiday delivery must be in BY December 1st ( unless your gallery is set to expire later than that date)
Processing times get slower and slower as Christmas approaches so IF you are wanting your prints in time for Christmas, I must urge you to please place it with me as soon as possible, and prior to December 1st.
Also, I am currently taking reservations for sessions for 2010. And finally……a photo complete with a tear ( it was frozen to her sweet little cheek)
Just a reminder, the deadline for submitting your choices for images for books and albums in time to guarantee Christmas delivery has now passed. It is very important that you try to make decisions on your image choices as soon as possible once your gallery is posted, in order to keep the process of fine tuning and ordering flowing smoothly. Because I try very hard to accommodate as many clients as I can at this time of year, the deadlines are even more important. I appreciate your consideration and prompt decisions.
